Henry Morgan's Cave
25° 10.5′ N · 78° 1.4′ W
A dark limestone cavern with bats and stalagmites near the bluff that gave Morgan's Bluff its name; legend says the buccaneer Sir Henry Morgan buried treasure here, though historians have never confirmed it was a pirate hideout.
Practical
Position from OpenStreetMap (cave-entrance node), just east of the Morgan's Bluff harbour. An easy walk from the harbour (2023 ActiveCaptain review), signposted from Queen's Highway (My Out Islands). Bring a torch and sturdy shoes; bats roost inside. Free.
Best for
A short walk ashore while waiting for weather
