Duncan Town cruisers' feast (February)

Each February, around Valentine's Day, the people of Duncan Town, led by Maxine of the general store, put on a feast for the visiting cruisers at the Hog Cay Yacht Club, with an auction and donations for the island school.

Coordinate approx: pinned at the Hog Cay Yacht Club hut on the Hog Cay beach, where Out Chasing Stars (2023) reports the party is held; cruisers set up awnings from the hut a few days ahead. A suggested donation of $25 per person covered the food in 2023 (verify locally); money raised goes to the new Ragged Island school. MV Privateer counted over 40 boats one year and reports nearly $5,000 raised; the Captain C mailboat crew, local fishermen and Defence Force members also attend. Bahamas.com lists Hog Cay's annual Valentine's Day celebration. Dates move with the weather: ask on VHF or at the hut. Bring cash for the auction.
