Double Caves (San Salvador)
23° 56.5′ N · 74° 34.4′ W · approximate
Twin parallel cave passages off Sandy Point that converge at an 80-ft crevice and open onto a wall framed by black coral.
Practical
Position is approximate: placed about 500 m off Sandy Point from 'offshore from Sandy Point Beach at the island's southern tip' (Sail Abacos). San Salvador's wall sites carry dive-operator moorings - Noonsite says to use one of the 50-plus mooring buoys rather than anchor when diving on your own. Most sites are on the lee (west and south) side, 10-20 minutes by boat from Riding Rock Marina, with the reef starting around 40 ft (Riding Rock). Remote island: dive conservatively. About 35 minutes by boat from the marina; reef at 35 ft, wall to 150+ ft.

Advanced divers on a calm day
