Pete's Pub & Gallery (Little Harbour)

26° 19.6′ N · 76° 59.8′ W

The quintessential Bahamian beach bar: an open-air, sand-floored pub under a thatched roof, built partly from an old boat prow and walled with visitors' T-shirts, serving fresh fish, cracked conch and the notorious rum 'Blaster' beside the Johnston family's bronze gallery.

Practical

Phone 1-242-577-5487, pete@petespub.com; hails on VHF 16 (ActiveCaptain). Friday night sushi with live music (per petespub.com). Pay mooring fees at the bar. Hours vary seasonally - historically closed some Monday nights and some winter weekdays; call ahead and reserve for dinner. Prices are high by Abaco standards (remote, everything imported). The Gallery sells bronzes, jewelry and apparel from the on-site foundry. Dinghy landing on the beach in front. Annual covered and open slips up to 45 ft are leased in the Turtle Pond hurricane hole (contact Greg, 1-242-357-6648). Rental cottages including the Schoolhouse. Reachable by road from Marsh Harbour too. ActiveCaptain community reports date from 2011-2019, before Hurricane Dorian (Category 5, Sept 1, 2019) hit Abaco; re-check bottom, markers and businesses locally.
