Practical
Coordinate approximate: DivePlanner Pro's site position (25.02673, -77.142187), consistent with Liveaboard.com's 'about 10 miles east of Nassau'; treat as indicative and confirm on a dive boat. Liveaboard.com: top of the hole at about 14 m (45 ft), about 25 m (80 ft) across and about 90 m (300 ft) deep; coral, sea fans and sponges on the rim with snapper, amberjack, Nassau grouper and French angelfish; a ledge partway down holds rock lobster; nurse and reef sharks pass through; sheltered from outside current inside the hole; a reviewer mentions a cave at about 70 ft. DivePlanner Pro: recreational dives keep to the upper 25-30 m of the interior wall (Advanced Open Water advised). Liveaboards leaving Prince George Wharf often make it their first or last dive; bahamas.com lists 'The Lost Blue, Nassau' among the country's top blue-hole dives. Historically a Bahama Divers signature site. Depths quoted vary between sources (DivePlanner Pro gives the rim at about 13 m and the bottom beyond 60 m); plan to the operator's brief.
