Dive· Green Turtle Cay· Bahamas — North
Coral Caverns (Coral Caves), Green Turtle Cay
26° 46.7′ N · 77° 19.0′ W · approximate
Green Turtle's signature reef dive: tall coral formations make a catacomb of twisting alleyways and big swim-throughs at about 50 ft, with schools of silversides and a resident grouper that Brendal's divers feed.
Practical
Approximate position only — a representative point on the outer reef east of Green Turtle Cay; neither Brendal's nor Scuba Diving publishes coordinates, so go with Brendal's Dive Center, which named and runs the site. Depth about 50 ft (Brendal's). The Green Turtle Club notes Atlantic tidal currents have carved mazes of tunnels and caverns into the base reef here, with live star and elkhorn coral on top. Swim-throughs: stay neutrally buoyant and off the coral. Dive only when the Atlantic swell is down.
Best for
Swim-throughs and caverns on a guided dive
Season
