Compleat Angler site (Hemingway's Bimini)

25° 43.5′ N · 79° 17.9′ W

The site of the Compleat Angler Hotel, where Ernest Hemingway stayed in 1935 to 1937 and is said to have worked on To Have and Have Not; its bar was an informal museum of Bimini fishing until a 2006 fire destroyed it.

Practical

Position from Wikipedia. The hotel burned on January 13, 2006, killing owner Julian Brown, and is listed as demolished, so this is a site to stand at rather than a building to tour. Hemingway fished the Gulf Stream from his boat Pilar while living here (Wikipedia). The Big Game Club's Hemingway's Poolside Rum Club keeps the name alive. The Bimini Museum mentioned in some guides could not be verified as open.
