Fishing· Exuma Cays
Tackle, bait and marine supplies
23° 30.8′ N · 75° 45.8′ W
George Town is effectively the only place in the chain to restock tackle. Provision there before heading north — the cays have general stores and a little hardware, but nothing resembling a tackle shop.
Practical
GEORGE TOWN: Brown's Marine 242-336-3330 — rods, lures, terminal tackle, frozen squid bait, dive gear and hardware; Exuma's largest marine shop. Exuma Markets — frozen squid. Minns Water Sports — Yamaha outboards and parts. Local fishermen sell the day's catch near the Little Exuma bridge around 17:00. STANIEL CAY: Isles General plus a small marine supply shop — basics, not tackle. BLACK POINT: Adderley's Store, groceries and modest hardware. Assume you cannot replace a lost wahoo lure or a fly line between Nassau and George Town. Carry spares of wire leader, 30-60lb fluoro, bonefish flies and a spare Hawaiian sling band.
