All pleasure-vessel clearance is digital through Click2Clear, but the permit is only legalised once a customs officer physically stamps and signs it after payment. In the Exumas the practical ports of entry are George Town and the Marina at Emerald Bay.
Practical
Portal besw.gov.bs — Cruising Permit Module, no login required. Forms C2A plus a Maritime Declaration of Health. ON ARRIVAL: fly the yellow Q flag; ONLY the captain may leave the vessel until cleared. Passports required for all nationalities including US — birth certificates no longer accepted. Customs typically 09:00-17:00; overtime fees after hours and on holidays. Staniel Cay is listed as a port of entry but rarely clears in practice — call George Town Customs first. DEPARTURE clearance (Form C28A, $75) only needed if your next country requires papers.
