National Family Island Regatta
23° 30.8′ N · 75° 45.8′ W
The premier Bahamian workboat regatta — four classes of traditional wooden Bahamian racing sloops from every Family Island racing in Elizabeth Harbour, with rake-and-scrape and a huge homecoming crowd. Running since 1954.
Practical
VERIFIED: 2025 = 22-26 April; 2026 (70th) = 21-25 April. The durable rule is the LAST FULL WEEK of April. This is an APRIL event, not March. Draws 6,000+ visitors to a town of about 1,000 — accommodation, flights and moorings book out months ahead, and race courses close parts of the harbour. Spectating from your own boat is the classic approach; anchor early.
