Norman's Cay - Sunken Airplane Anchorage
24° 35.5′ N · 76° 48.8′ W
A very pretty anchorage looking out over sweeping turquoise toward Exuma Sound and One Tree Cay, with the plane wreck a two-minute dinghy ride away. The catch is telling the anchorage apart from the Norman's Cay channel that runs alongside it.
Practical
Good holding; protection from WNW through N. Poor choice for a cold front - it gets choppy fast when an ebb tide meets the wind. Sort out where the channel is before you set the hook so you don't anchor in the fairway. Dinghy access to both the wreck and MacDuff's beach.
Best for
Overnighting on top of the plane wreck
