Union Island Easterval

12° 35.8′ N · 61° 25.0′ W · approximate

Union's biggest festival runs through Holy Week in Clifton and Ashton, with sports, cultural shows, a regional pageant, beach parties, picnics and big-drum music.

Practical

Coordinate is derived: Hugh Mulzac Square, Clifton (OpenStreetMap). Dates follow Easter each year. Clifton harbour and the mooring field fill up; arrive early. Union's calendar also includes the Conch Festival (usually end of February), the Maroon festival toward the end of May celebrating the end of the dry season with drumming and food, and a model-boat regatta at Richmond Beach on Independence Day (October 27).
