True Blue Bay Anchorage

11° 59.7′ N · 61° 46.2′ W

True Blue Bay is a small, narrow bay just west of Prickly Bay, home to the True Blue Bay Resort and its dock. It is far quieter than Prickly, with the resort's pools and bars ashore and St George's University a walk away.

Practical

Position is Noonsite's bay-entrance position, 11°59'42"N 61°46'11"W. Noonsite says the bay is totally open to the south and rolly, with very limited dockage, though a mooring buoy is usually available. A 2018 Noonsite commenter liked the resort mooring: call the marina and staff help you pick up the lines, and mooring guests can use the hotel pool. Noforeignland reviewers currently advise against the moorings because of several reports of broken balls, so inspect any ball you pick up or anchor instead. Give True Blue Point a wide berth on the approach, because it shoals just offshore (Noonsite). Horizon Yachts used True Blue as a charter base (Noonsite). Ashore are the Dodgy Dock restaurant, the cheap Container Park food stalls by the university, and provisioning nearby.
