Sulphur Springs (Soufrière volcano)

13° 50.3′ N · 61° 2.8′ W

The 'drive-in volcano': steaming vents and bubbling mud in the heart of the Qualibou caldera above Soufrière, with warm mineral mud baths below where visitors coat themselves in grey volcanic mud.

Practical

Coordinate is the OpenStreetMap Sulphur Springs attraction. Qualibou is a 3.5 x 5 km caldera that formed 32,000-39,000 years ago; the last (phreatic) eruption was in 1766 and Sulphur Springs is its active geothermal centre (Wikipedia). Short guided route through the vents from the park interpretation centre; morning or late afternoon has fewer visitors (Saint Lucia Tourism Authority). Wear a dark swimsuit for the mud baths. Taxi from Soufrière.
