14° 50.5′ N · 61° 13.8′ W · approximate
A little-visited rock islet off Anse Couleuvre in the Prêcheur marine reserve, where divers find shoals of kingfish, jacks and barracuda, and seabirds nest above the water.
Practical
Martinique tourism calls Rocher de la Perle a 'secret paradise' for divers, with kingfish, marlin, barracuda and jacks. The islet (Îlet la Perle) is inside the Réserve naturelle marine du Prêcheur - Albert Falco. Position is approximate: just west of the islet, whose centre is at 14.84195, -61.22785 (OSM); dive centres choose the exact spot. Exposed to current and swell; dive with a Saint-Pierre or Le Prêcheur centre rather than from your own boat.
