Parc Naturel Marin de Martinique
14° 39.0′ N · 61° 12.0′ W · approximate
Since 2017 all of Martinique's waters, out to the edge of its exclusive economic zone, have been a French marine natural park managed by the French Biodiversity Office (OFB).
Practical
Wikipedia: created in early 2017 as France's 10th marine natural park, covering the whole EEZ, with goals of knowledge, protection and sustainable use, including recreational boating and anchoring. Inside it, stricter local zones apply: the Prêcheur marine reserve, the Saint-Pierre wreck zone and the organised mooring zones at Les Anses-d'Arlet and Saint-Pierre. Do not touch or take coral or marine life; touching or taking is prohibited at dive sites (Martinique tourism). Discharge of black water is prohibited within 3 nm of the coast and polluting discharges are punishable under the French environment code (Rade de Saint-Pierre rules). Position is a representative offshore point, approximate.
