Lagoon Bay Beach (Mustique)
12° 52.1′ N · 61° 11.5′ W · approximate
A calm leeward beach south of Britannia Bay at the end of the salt-pond walk, with long wooden picnic tables on the sand and clear, flat water for swimming and snorkelling.
Practical
Position is the OpenStreetMap 'Lagoon Beach' outline (way 878621495), approx; it is about 1.3 km south of the Britannia Bay moorings. Reached on foot by the road south from Lovell village and the shoreline path past the salt pond (see Mustique Salt Pond and Lagoon Bay Trail). Noonsite (Feb 2025) lists Lagoon beach as off limits to yacht visitors - ask the Moorings Office (VHF 16/68) before going. No anchoring here; stay on the Britannia Bay moorings. Calm in normal easterly trades because it faces west.
Best for
A quiet swim at the end of the salt-pond walk, if access is allowed
Season
Dec-Jun; rolly in north-westerly winter swell
