Mustique's legendary bar on stilts over Britannia Bay, open since 1976, where homeowners, rock stars, fishermen and yacht crews have danced for nearly fifty years; rebuilt by Philippe Starck in 2018.
Practical
Position matches the bar's own published 'shipping co-ordinates' (written as 12o 88' 08' N, 61o 18' 82", i.e. about 12.8808 N, 61.1882 W) and the OpenStreetMap building beside the Britannia Bay jetty. Open daily 12:00 pm-10:00 pm for lunch, dinner and cocktails; lunch 12:00 pm-3:00 pm, dinner 6:00-10:00 pm. Wednesday Jump Up (dinner from 6:00 pm, band from 9:30 pm), Taco and Tequila Thursdays from 6:00 pm, Sunday Sunset Sessions 5:00-8:00 pm. Reservations reservations@basilsbar.com. Turtles graze right beside the bar - swim with them, but don't touch or chase (Mustique Company). Home of the Mustique Blues Festival each January.
