Charlotteville Fish Market and Village Shops
11° 19.4′ N · 60° 32.9′ W
Charlotteville's waterfront fish market, veg stalls and mini-marts cover the basics, with fresh fish landed daily and bread baked to order.
Practical
Position is the waterfront marketplace by the jetty (OpenStreetMap). Noonsite (September 2024): no major supermarket; basic supplies at the mini-market, a second mini-mart behind the gas station on the beachfront, fresh fish at the fishermen's market and fruit and vegetables from waterfront stalls. Opposite the filling station, Curtis's mother bakes bread to order and sells homemade ice cream. Shops are small but carry good fishing gear (2020 report). Do big provisioning at Crown Point or Scarborough (1-1.5 hours by route taxi). SIM cards: La Roche Boutique, upstairs in the micro-business centre next to the fishing co-op (2023).
