Castries Customs and Immigration

14° 0.7′ N · 60° 59.5′ W

Castries is an official port of entry with customs officers, but it is a commercial and cruise-ship port; Noonsite recommends yachts clear at Rodney Bay or Marigot Bay instead.

Practical

Coordinate is the OpenStreetMap building for the Department of Customs and Excise on the Castries waterfront. Noonsite (Castries clearance page, last updated June 2024): Castries has customs officials but is not geared to yachts. The main Immigration Office in Castries handles stay extensions (EC$100 per 21-day period per the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, which Noonsite notes may contain errors; verify locally). Hours follow the national customs schedule: 8 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday, 8 am to 6 pm Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm weekends and holidays (tourism authority). Contact port control on VHF 16.

Best for

Stay extensions; clearing only if you must
