Practical
Position is the GNIS point for Whistling Cay. Coast Pilot 5: 202 ft high, 300 yards west of Mary Point; precipitous north shore with 130-ft cliffs; a gravel beach on the southeast side; Fungi Passage (least depth 21 ft) runs between the cay and Mary Point. The park's Compendium describes Whistling Cay as a small, exposed cay that frequently has extremely strong currents, so snorkel only in calm conditions, stay on the south and southeast (Francis Bay) side and keep a dinghy pick-up ready. Commercial vessels must pass north of Whistling Cay.
