Setting Point Mooring Operators & Payment

18° 43.4′ N · 64° 23.1′ W

Setting Point's mooring field is a mix of first-come, first-served balls run by local businesses (the Anegada Reef Hotel's yellow balls and another operator's white balls) and about ten reservable BoatyBall moorings.

Practical

Position is Noonsite's mooring position for the Setting Point field (see the anchorage entry). Operators: a 2017 visitor found the field roughly evenly split between yellow balls belonging to the Anegada Reef Hotel and white balls belonging to another local business, at US$30 a night (2017: verify locally). Noonsite says to contact the Anegada Reef Hotel or Neptune's Treasure about overnight buoys, and the Anegada Reef Hotel's own reviews mention staff helping guests moor. Yacht Warriors (May 2022) reports plenty of first-come balls plus about 10 BoatyBall reserved moorings; BoatyBall lists Anegada as one of its BVI bays, so book those through the BoatyBall app or website. Indicative 2026 rate: The Moorings' March 2026 flotilla fee sheet lists Anegada at US$35 to US$55 a day. Payment: a collector usually comes by dinghy or you pay ashore at the operator's restaurant; bring cash (there is no ATM on the island). Inspect pennants before trusting a ball: a white first-come ball parted under a Yacht Warriors skipper in April 2024. If no ball is free, anchor in sand with good holding clear of the field. No anchoring on Horseshoe Reef (illegal under BVI law).
