NOAA tide station 9752235 (Culebra)

18° 18.1′ N · 65° 18.1′ W

NOAA's water-level station at the Dewey ferry pier is the reference for Culebra tide predictions; the range is tiny, about a foot, so tides matter mainly for dinghy headroom and reef-flat snorkelling.

Practical

Position: NOAA station metadata (Culebra, 9752235, lat 18.300861, lon -65.302475; established August 2005; chart 25653; time zone AST, UTC -4, no daylight saving). Datums (1983-2001 epoch): mean range 0.75 ft, great diurnal range 1.12 ft (MLLW to MHHW). The tide is mixed, mainly diurnal. Currents, not tides, are the navigational issue: see Coast Pilot 5 for Canal de Luis Peña. Live data and predictions: tidesandcurrents.noaa.gov station 9752235.
