Mamacita's (Dewey)
18° 18.1′ N · 65° 18.0′ W
Colorful guesthouse, bar and restaurant on the Dewey canal beside the old lift bridge; a lively waterfront spot for a drink while boats and ferries come and go.
Practical
Position: OpenStreetMap 'Mamacitas' (node 3316135436). Wikivoyage: 64 Calle Castelar; serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, pricier than local fare; the waterfront bar is popular. The Virgintino guide (about 2015) pictures it at the non-lifting lift bridge on Bahía de Sardinas; you can reach the canal by dinghy (Virgintino says you cannot take a boat through to Ensenada Honda via the lagoon). The culebraisland.com food guide (2026) lists it as a waterfront restaurant and bar with weekend music, one of the island's main nightlife spots, phone (787) 742-0090. Its old web domain no longer belongs to the business: verify hours locally.
