Little Harbour Anchorage (Jost Van Dyke)

18° 26.3′ N · 64° 43.7′ W

A snug, well-protected harbour on Jost's southeast side, once used to careen the island's wooden trading sloops and now ringed by three lobster restaurants: Sidney's, Harris' and Abe's. A quieter overnight than Great Harbour.

Practical

Coordinate is the Little Harbor bay feature in OpenStreetMap, inside the entrance. Coast Pilot 5: about 8 fathoms (48 ft) just inside the entrance, shoaling toward the head; Navily lists sand and seagrass. Moorings fill most of the bay: Noonsite (Jan 2024) says contact Abe's for the buoys on the east side and Harris' Place for the others; BoatyBall lists Little Harbour as both reservable (US$55/night, released 7 am daily, check-in 12 pm) and first-come (US$30 to $40/night) in its 2026 guide. Restaurants have historically waived the mooring fee with dinner (Sail Magazine, 2010; ask).
