Diamond Cay Anchorage (Long Bay East)

18° 26.8′ N · 64° 43.4′ W · approximate

A scenic mooring field in the bay at Jost's east end, between Diamond Cay, Little Jost Van Dyke and Foxy's Taboo. Quieter than Great Harbour, with B-Line, Taboo and the Bubbly Pool trail a short dinghy ride away.

Practical

Position is approximate: the open water south of Diamond Cay and east of the Foxy's Taboo shore, placed with the OpenStreetMap coastline (about 200 m from shore). Contact Foxy's Taboo to use the buoys (Noonsite, Jan 2024); BoatyBall lists Diamond Cay as reservable (US$55/night, released 7 am, check-in 12 pm) and first-come (US$30 to $40) in its 2026 guide. Balls are competitive in peak season; arrive early. A shallow ledge joins Little Jost to Jost Van Dyke and a sandbar runs to Diamond Cay, so do not try to cut north between the islands (Coast Pilot 5; Wikipedia). Dinghy thefts were reported here in December 2024 (CSSN via Noonsite): lift and lock at night.

Best for

Quiet overnight near the Bubbly Pool

Season

Year-round in normal trades; arrive early in high season (Dec–Apr)
