Little Dix Bay Anchorage

18° 27.7′ N · 64° 26.1′ W · approximate

The resort bay just north of Spanish Town, opening west onto Western Roads, where small and mid-size yachts drop a hook off Rosewood Little Dix Bay's crescent beach for a swim and a dinner ashore.

Practical

Coordinate approximate: placed about 200 m west of the OpenStreetMap bay label (18.46227, -64.4331), in the bay mouth. The MarineLink port listing describes Little Dix Bay's anchoring area as 'primarily for smaller and medium-sized vessels', with services provided by the resort; no moorings, depths or fees for visiting yachts were found in any source, so sound your way in, anchor in sand clear of coral and check a current chart or charter briefing first. The bay sits inside the Coast Pilot's 'north anchorage' of Western Roads (the bight between Mountain and Colison Points), described as having good holding and usually smooth water, but exposed to winter ground swell from the north (see Western Roads Anchorage). For a calmer night use the Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour or St Thomas Bay, about 1.5 km south. Resort closed August 18 to October 10 in 2025 (Yacht Warriors).
