Spanish Town Customs & Immigration (Virgin Gorda Port of Entry)

18° 27.2′ N · 64° 26.2′ W · approximate

The Virgin Gorda port of entry at the Spanish Town ferry dock, a short walk from the yacht harbour: clear in here before stopping anywhere else in the BVI if you arrive from the east.

Practical

Coordinate approximate: the Spanish Town ferry dock where the Road Town, Trellis Bay and St Thomas ferry routes end in OpenStreetMap. A Noonsite member who called Customs in April 2026 was told officers work 8:30 am to 4:30 pm every day including weekends and public holidays, with revenue collection ending at 4 pm; a 2024 report also gives a 4:30 pm close. Immigration charged a US$40 overtime fee for a Sunday check-in (no Immigration charge for stays of 30 days or less in normal hours). The same 2026 report paid Customs US$38 for two people on a 42 ft boat plus a US$41 Port Authority charge; Customs accepted a printed clearance from St Martin without a wet stamp. NPT Marine Conservation Permits were NOT sold at Customs (buy online or at the NPT offices). Everyone aboard should attend with passports. Tie up in Virgin Gorda Yacht Harbour (first 30 minutes free) or anchor off in St Thomas Bay and dinghy in. All fees verify locally.
