Henley Cay (Durloe Cays)
18° 21.2′ N · 64° 47.6′ W
The largest of the three Durloe Cays, an 11-acre islet off Caneel with white-sand beaches and reef snorkeling, visited by kayak tours and day boats.
Practical
Position is the GNIS point for Henley Cay (70 ft high, about 300 yards across, small pier on the south side per Coast Pilot 5). The park has 2 day-use-only moorings at Henley Cay; no overnight, because the cay is exposed and currents are frequently extremely strong (Compendium 2026). Neighbouring Ramgoat Cay and Rata Cay are closed to foot traffic. The north side has the best snorkeling but strong current at times (island guide). Separated from St John by the Durloe Channel.
Best for
Daytime snorkel stop between Cruz Bay and Trunk Bay
