Ginger Island

18° 23.6′ N · 64° 28.7′ W

A steep, overgrown, uninhabited private island of about 258 acres between Cooper and Virgin Gorda, with a solar light at its northeast end and two of the BVI's best reef dives off its south side.

Practical

Position from Wikipedia (point is just off the north shore). Wikipedia: privately owned, uninhabited, no dockage. Coast Pilot 5: marked by a light at its northeastern end; steep-to at the northeast and southeast ends; rocks close off its west end. Yacht Warriors: few protected anchorages, so most bareboaters skip it; good mahi fishing on the windward shelf. Treat it as a day stop for diving.

Best for

Day diving and trolling for mahi
