Ginger Island's signature dives: Alice in Wonderland's spur-and-groove reef of winding coral ridges off the south shore, and Ginger Steps, parallel rock ledges stepping down to sand where rays sleep and sharks cruise by.
Practical
Approximate position: Alice in Wonderland is off the south shore, with the dive boat moored in about 60 ft and the reef rising to about 35 ft (Dive BVI); Ginger Steps is further east, tucked against the tip of South Bay (about 18.3840, -64.4680), 30 to 100 ft. Both intermediate (Ginger Steps intermediate to advanced). Some of the healthiest corals in the BVI (Dive BVI). Use NPT dive moorings or an operator; south-side swell can make it uncomfortable.
