Fat Hog's Bay & East End Marinas

18° 26.3′ N · 64° 33.6′ W

The working east-end harbour shared by Fat Hog's Bay and East End Bay: a cluster of small marinas (Penn's Landing, Sea Breeze, JY Harbour View) with fuel, moorings and the Red Rock restaurant, a few minutes from Trellis Bay and the airport.

Practical

Approach from the Sir Francis Drake Channel leaving Buck Island to port; pick up the flashing green buoy marking the reef at the southern end of the bay and give the flashing white light on Red Rock (north side of the entrance) room (marinas.com). For Penn's Landing, pass mid-channel between the red rock to starboard and the lighted Bar Bay buoy to port, continue north-west about 300 yards, and the East End Bay channel opens to starboard. Anchor in about 9 ft off the marinas, or take a mooring: one marina maintains a first-come, first-served field. Penn's Landing (marinas.com, updated May 2023): 12 slips and 25 MoorSeacure-maintained moorings, fuel dock (gas and diesel), water, ice, propane, showers, dinghy dock, dry stack, engine service; VHF 16; (284) 495-1134. Sea Breeze Marina and JY Harbour View Marina are neighbours. Groceries within 5 miles.
