Salak Phet Mangrove Boardwalk
12° 1.3′ N · 102° 23.4′ E · approximate
A loop of wooden boardwalk through mangrove forest near Salak Phet, with a viewing tower. You can see crabs, mudskippers and birdlife close up.
Practical
Thai National Parks: a circular boardwalk of about 500–600 m plus a 300 m branch, outside the park and free, poorly maintained, and periodically closed for repairs. It also lists the 860 m Salak Khok mangrove boardwalk on the east coast as the largest mangrove in the park. The coordinate is OpenStreetMap's 'Mangrove discovery way' boardwalk with its view tower. It sits on the east coast near Salak Khok, so it may be the Salak Khok walk rather than the Salak Phet loop; verify locally.
Best for
A shaded nature walk on a rest day
