Ranong Fishery Port Fuel (PTT, Saphan Pla)

9° 56.9′ N · 98° 35.7′ E

The PTT station on the Saphan Pla waterfront next to Ranong's fishing port, the closest road fuel to the river anchorage and the clearance offices.

Practical

Coordinate is the OSM-mapped PTT station. Wikivoyage places the Saphan Pla port building, which has the immigration checkpoint and the Kawthaung boat pier, behind this petrol station. The Ranong Fishery Port pier is mapped just west (9.94725, 98.59466). Bring jerry cans by dinghy from the town anchorage (Southeast Asia Pilot about 09°58.000N, 98°35.400E). Fishing-boat fuel pumps line the river, but none documents a service for yachts, so ask at the fishery port. Haul-out: no yacht yard or travel lift north of Phuket appears in the Southeast Asia Pilot's marina table. Ranong's slipways serve fishing boats only, so plan any haul-out at Phuket (Boat Lagoon or Royal Phuket) or Krabi.
