Nathon Customs and Immigration (Samui port of entry)

9° 32.2′ N · 99° 55.9′ E · approximate

Koh Samui is the Gulf-side port of entry for yachts. Customs and the Harbour Master work from Nathon by the main jetty, and the island's Immigration office is on the north coast at Maenam.

Practical

Position is the Nathon Pier (OSM way 320110875); the offices are near its landward end, but the exact building is not mapped, so treat it as approximate. Southeast Asia Pilot confirms Customs and Immigration are handled from Nathon and that Samui has an Immigration office. OSM maps the Koh Samui Immigration Office at Maenam (9.56321, 100.00268), about 8 km in a straight line from Nathon, so budget a taxi ride between offices. Carry crew list, passports, ship's papers and last port clearance, and expect to also complete the Marine Department/AIS formalities that apply anywhere in Thailand (see the area entry-and-clearance notes). Office hours and fees are not published for Samui: verify locally. Leaving Samui for another province needs a harbour-master check-out.
