Krabi Customs, Harbour and Immigration (Klong Ji Lard)

8° 3.8′ N · 98° 55.1′ E · approximate

Krabi is an official port of entry. Customs and the Harbour (Marine) Department sit near the Klong Ji Lard pier and Immigration beside the Marine Police office, so you can clear in or out here, or report an inter-provincial move from Phuket or Phang Nga.

Practical

Position approx: OpenStreetMap node for Krabi Customs House on Chao Fah Road in town. Immigration is at 382 Moo 7, Tharuea Road, Sai Thai, beside the Marine Police (Southeast Asia Pilot); Wikivoyage maps Krabi Province Immigration at 8.0517N 98.9044E, open Mon-Fri 8:30am to 4:30pm, closed 12pm to 1pm. Noonsite says Customs is about 3 km from the Marine and Immigration offices; cruisers use Grab between the three. Arriving from Phuket you must have confirmed your check-out with the Phuket Harbour Master upstairs at Chalong, not only the pier office: a 2022 Noonsite report describes a fine for missing this step. AIS is mandatory in Thai waters. Fees and procedures change often; verify locally.
