Koh Nok Clifftop Viewpoint

8° 4.7′ N · 98° 37.5′ E · approximate

A short, steep scramble to the top of Koh Nok, using a fixed rope on the near-vertical section, for a view over Koh Yao Noi and the islands of Phang Nga Bay.

Practical

Position approximate: on the island just east of the Southeast Asia Pilot's Koh Nok waypoint (08°04.669N 98°37.422E). Phuket101 says the climb takes about 15 minutes. The Pilot notes the rope and the sandy spit on the west side, which is good for swimming; the current can run strongly around the third hour of the ebb. Kayakers paddle from Pasai Beach (about 2.5 km, 40 minutes each way per Phuket101).
