Koh Kradan Southeast Bay Anchorage

7° 18.2′ N · 99° 15.5′ E

A small southeast-facing bay at the south end of Koh Kradan's long white beach, near the national park office, with exceptional snorkelling offshore.

Practical

Southeast Asia Pilot (14 nm from Koh Lanta lighthouse): the bay stays deep close in, so anchor or pick up a mooring in at least 10 m. A good day anchorage; for the night, holding is better on the east or west coast depending on season. Ashore: a small National Park office at the south end of the beach, several small resorts (the Anantara Si Kao Beach Club and a small bungalow resort welcome visitors) and a trail across to the west and east coasts.

Best for

Day stop for Kradan's reef and park beach
