7° 18.3′ N · 99° 15.5′ E · approximate

Koh Muk, Koh Kradan, Koh Chuak and the other inner Trang islands fall within Hat Chao Mai National Park, and rangers collect a per-person fee from visiting boats.

Practical

Southeast Asia Pilot: at the Emerald Cave the rangers collect 400 THB per person from visiting boats (verify locally). Thai Wikipedia lists Ko Muk, Ko Kradan, Ko Chueak, Ko Maeng, Ko Pling and Ko Chao Mai as park islands; Ko Libong borders the park to the south. Wikipedia: the park covers 231 km², was established in 1981 and is a Ramsar site. The park HQ is on the mainland near the mangroves behind Hat Pak Meng and Hat Chao Mai. Keep the receipt; rules ban anchoring on coral, fishing and feeding fish. Position approximate: at the small park office the Pilot places at the south end of Kradan's east beach.
