Koh Kradan East Coast Reef

7° 18.8′ N · 99° 15.6′ E · approximate

A fringing reef running the length of Kradan's 2 km east beach, a strip of powder sand that a 2023 beach guide ranked the best in the world.

Practical

Southeast Asia Pilot calls the snorkelling exceptional and says the east coast offers anchorage in at least 12 m anywhere along it; approach the visible fringing reef very slowly, preferably at right angles to the beach. Wikipedia: Ko Kradan beach is about 2 km long, with clear water that lets you see the coral; Wikivoyage's diving guide notes visibility usually lower than at Koh Ha or Koh Rok, and names the Pink Ridge (San Chompu) site with corals, starfish and seahorses. Most of the island is in Hat Chao Mai National Park. Position approximate: on the reef edge east of the Ko Kradan Beach polygon in OpenStreetMap.
