Koh Jum Barrel Fuel (Ban Koh Jum and Ting Rai)

7° 47.6′ N · 98° 59.5′ E

Old-style barrel-and-pump fuel points in the villages, plus petrol sold by the bottle, the only fuel on the island.

Practical

Position is the Ban Koh Jum fuel point from OpenStreetMap; a second is in Ting Rai village (OSM 7.8210N 98.9679E). The sources describe barrel-and-pump stations and fuel sold from bottles (samuiislandexplorer.com), aimed at motorbikes and longtails. There is no yacht fuel dock: carry jerry cans by dinghy and land at half tide or higher. For diesel alongside, use Port Takola on the Krabi River.
