The village behind Chalok Baan Kao bay has a 7-Eleven, mini-marts, cafés and a bakery, handy for yachts on the south-coast moorings at Chalok and Shark Bay.

OpenStreetMap also lists Orchid Minimart at the western end of the bay, a Lotus convenience store on the road north to Mae Haad, two nursing clinics (Chalok Nursing Clinic, 9am–10pm daily, and Sawasdee) and a laundry.
