Practical
Coordinate is the OSM-mapped Lucky Restaurant behind the north-central beach, a short walk from the Ao Yai anchorage (Southeast Asia Pilot 09°43.652N, 98°22.967E, 3–6 m in the northern corner). Other OSM-mapped places along the beach road: Morgan Restaurant (9.72571, 98.39473), JJ Seafood (9.72360, 98.39302), The Blue Owl (9.72825, 98.39531), Munchies Cafe (9.72778, 98.39495; 9am to 9pm) and Kitchen Table at the south end (9.71905, 98.40322; 11am to 10pm). Wikivoyage recommends Ao Yai Seafood on the road to the beach for yellow curried crab and tamarind prawns. Surf can make dinghy landings wet in any westerly swell, so land at the north end.
