12° 3.4′ N · 102° 16.9′ E
The flattest, quietest anchorage on Koh Chang's west coast in the northeast monsoon, off a long beach backed by palms and the mouth of the Khlong Phrao river. Dinghy up the river at mid-tide or walk inland to the Khlong Phlu waterfall.
Practical
Southeast Asia Pilot waypoint 12°03.424N 102°16.885E, 5 nm from Khlong Son. Anchor in 5–7 m in the northern corner, opposite the creek entrance. The river south of the anchorage is navigable by dinghy at mid-tide. A well-stocked supermarket sits behind the Coconut Resort (see Khlong Phrao Supermarket), and the Chai Chet fuel pump is a short walk at the north end of the bay. Khlong Phlu waterfall is about 1 km inland from the beach.
