Chai Chet Fuel Pump
12° 4.3′ N · 102° 16.9′ E · approximate
A roadside fuel pump at the north end of Chai Chet bay, the jerry-can diesel stop that cruisers have used for years on the west coast.
Practical
A 2014 Noonsite cruising report says fuel on Koh Chang is at the north top of Chai Chet Bay, a short walk along the main road. The coordinate is the filling station OpenStreetMap maps on the main road just north of Laem Chai Chet; it is assumed to be the one the report describes. Carry jerry cans by dinghy from the Khlong Phrao anchorage. In March 2026 some Thai fuel stations elsewhere refused to fill containers during a diesel shortage, so ask first. Siam Royal View Marina had a fuel dock (Noonsite, 2019).
Best for
Diesel and petrol by jerry can on the west coast
