Mu Ko Ang Thong National Park closes every year for about six weeks at the height of the northeast monsoon, when the crossing from Samui is rough and the park rests its reefs and beaches.

The 2025 closure was announced as 1 November to 15 December 2025 for environmental restoration (Asian Trails). Thai Holiday Guide says exact dates shift each year, so check with the park (077 286 588) or a Samui tour operator before planning a November or early-December visit. Position is the park HQ pier.
