The big State Trading Corporation hypermarket on Coast Guard Road, between Victoria and Eden Island, anchors the capital's handful of supermarkets for a full provisioning run.

The Moorings says Victoria's supermarkets are 10-15 minutes by car from Eden Island, generally open daily except Sunday 8am-5pm, and that the main supermarket halfway between the base and Victoria opens seven days, 9am-8pm (9am-5pm Sunday); STC is among the stores it lists. Pay in rupees or by card. Cruisers recommend shopping around because each store stocks things the others do not; one store converted card charges to euros (hackingfamily.com, 2009). Apex Supplies (+248 4334211) sells fresh and dry goods from South Africa and delivers to yachts at Eden Island (Noonsite). Alcohol sale hours are restricted (see Eden Plaza).
