Ave Maria Rocks Dive
4° 19.0′ S · 55° 49.0′ E
A tiny granite rock in the channel between Praslin and the Sisters, with boulders forming canyons and crevices and a great variety of fish, turtles, lobsters and octopus - often calm enough for beginners.
Practical
Average 18 m, max 20 m; visibility 10-30 m; Open Water / CMAS * level; under 30 minutes by boat (wannadive). SeyVillas lists reef sharks, stingrays, batfish, lobsters, octopus, barracuda and sometimes turtles. White Bank lies about 200 m west-south-west. Dive only with a licensed Praslin or La Digue dive centre: diving in Seychelles must be guided by a local dive master and charter yachts cannot carry rental dive gear (Moorings eGuide). Coordinate from wannadive.net.
