Beach· La Digue· Seychelles
Anse Sévère
4° 20.4′ S · 55° 49.8′ E
A reef-sheltered beach on the north coast facing Praslin, five minutes' ride from the harbour, with shallow calm water and some of the island's best sunsets.
Practical
Coordinate from OpenStreetMap. SeyVillas: shallow and usually calm, rocks and coral shield it from the open ocean, much of the sand covers at high tide, seaweed can appear at any time of year; snack bar and boutique at the north end. Good snorkelling; at low tide near the rocks, at high tide near the reef. Patatran restaurant (about 340 m) and Le Combava rooftop are nearby. This is a beach and snorkel stop reached by dinghy or bike from La Passe; no cruising source consulted documents it as a yacht anchorage.
Best for
Easy snorkelling and sunset near the harbour
