Channel Rock Dive (Les Roches Canales)
4° 20.5′ S · 55° 48.5′ E
Big granite rocks covered in sponges and corals in the channel between Praslin and La Digue, with eagle rays, turtles, whitetip reef sharks, Napoleons and octopus, and whale sharks in season.
Practical
Average 10 m, max 12 m; all levels; under 30 minutes by boat; hard to find (wannadive). SeyVillas says whale sharks may appear in summer and autumn. It lies in the Praslin-La Digue ferry route, so keep a sharp lookout for Cat Cocos and inter-island ferries when diving or anchoring a dive tender here. Guided diving only (Moorings eGuide). Coordinate from wannadive.net.
